Blog Report – Month 1

Don’t know about you but i LOVE reading monthly blog reports.

They are inspirational and motivating about what I could have the potential to create, but most bloggers don’t seem to post monthly reports until they are in profit from their site.

I am doing this from day one so I can look back and see how far this blog has come in the future.

Today marks the first month since this blog went live so let’s have a look.

In the first month of going live, baring in mind that I didn’t have the foresight of pre-writing posts ready to go live. I literally bought a domain, hosting, wrote my first post and went live in one day.

Blog Posts Published – 15

Website Traffic – 169

Highest traffic in one day – 47

Reader Comments – 7

Twitter followers – 90

Facebook Page likes – 2

Pinterest – ummmm 0

I don’t know about you, but i am quite chuffed with the traffic and engagement on the site for its first month.

I have been making an effort to ‘get out there’ and build relationships with some of the blogs that i have enjoyed lurking on for a good while and have been pleasantly surprised by what a genuinely nice bunch bloggers are!

May not be impressive for a lot of more seasoned bloggers but for a first month, i’m thrilled.

See you next month!

Share the love!

  1. I think you did an amazing job during tr first month! You should be thrilled! Blogging is definitely a not a sprint, it takes time to build up a following but if you keep working at it hopefully it will pay off!

    1. Thank you Melanie! It is definitely hard work but I am loving the journey so far and am making some lovely friends from across the pond too!

  2. Nicely done! I actually think it’s a pretty good idea to start tracking your blog stats from day one. Gives you an idea of how you’re progressing, and will probably show you how far you’ve come in 3/6/12 months. I might have to take some inspiration from you and do the same!

    1. Thank you! Exactly what I was thinking! I am hoping that posting a monthly report will help hold me accountable and keep me on track as well. I am always more interested in the journey as opposed to the destination, and as inspirational as some of the big dogs are, they all started where we did once! Will keep an eye out for your reports!

  3. Congrats on getting through your first month! I’m going to start digging through the rest of your blog now as part of my goal of reading different blogs than the “normal” FIRE blogs. Good luck on the journey!

    1. Thanks Mr B! I like to think this is a bit different, shooting for financial independence from way below zero, destroying debt and building our own assets. We’ll see!

  4. Slow and steady wins the race. You’re doing great so far and it will continue to payoff over time as you continue to write good content and engage with the community. Keep up the great work!

    1. Thanks DDad, I definitely will! I have been pleasantly surprised by this wonderful community and appreciate the acceptance and support that i have felt from day 1. What a fantastic group of people you bloggers are and I am proud to consider myself one of you
